We need one
We briefly touched on this point elsewhere, can't find it right now.
I had mentioned we really could use a banner or something at the top of an article to call attention to the need of the article needing to be re-worked to MoS. Mk's response was that was the purpose of the "Rough" category and MoS framwork at the top of of a page.
Here's the thing: that is well and good for those of us who hang out here all the time. Problem is, editors flit through every so often, and either see something missing (info in the New Section) or simply edit the existing info in the Old parts at the bottom of the page.
Whereas if there is a banner at the top ("This page is under Renovation: You can help by shifting information from the Old areas at the bottom to the New Sections at the time and reworking to MoS compliancy") to catch the eyes of casual drive-by editors, I think it stands a better chance of not having editors at cross-purpose to our endeavours. --Love Robin (talk) 23:01, September 17, 2013 (UTC)
- Good point. Let's see what we can come up with.
