When Dr. Drakken took over the Bueno Nacho corporation by force, though Ned claimed that "[he] bought the whole enchilada", he has Lars take over as assistant manager, replacing Ned in the process. During this time, Ned mentioned various changes throughout Bueno Nacho such as Naco Night being cancelled and kiddie meals with toys are added to menu.
When Ron decided to eat at Bueno Nacho being depressed over the fact that Kim was dating Eric, Ned secretly warned Ron that something evil is afoot and wrote "Evil" on the tray using Diablo Sauce. After complaining to Lars about the bendy straws being replaced, Ron phoned the main headquarters with a help from Wade. Upon learning that Dr. Drakken was behind the scheme, Lars hangs up the phone and noticing Ned and Rufus showing the "Evil" message, orders the Diablos to attack Ron. However, the three were able to escape while Lars crashes into the drive thru menu after to catch Ron. Later. when Kim and Ron lure one of the Diablos to the command signal to stop the Diablos from attacking Middleton, Lars runs out of the way as the Diablo crashes into the signal, shutting the robot down.[1] It is unknown what happened to Lars afterwards, but it can be assumed he was arrested, alongside Dr. Drakken, Shego and the rest of their henchmen since Ned was reinstated as assistant manager of Bueno Nacho, as shown when Professor Dementor attacked Kim and Ron at Bueno Nacho.[2]

During his time as assistant manger of Bueno Nacho, he is rude to Ned calling him a "worthless slug". Ever since Lars became assistant manager, both Ned and Rufus are aware of something evil is afoot within the changes of Bueno Nacho such as kid's meals and Diablo toys.
When Ron confronts Lars about the bendy straws and learns that Drakken was behind the changes to his favorite eatery, Lars orders the Diablos to attack Ron and Rufus, but the two escaped.
